Sorry, Babes, but I need one more week off. My little guy, Max, turned six this week, so the holiday feel/celebration mode spilled into this week and left me no time for anything else. Not only are my Christmas decorations still up (ugh! I hate when I procrastinate with that thankless, cheerless chore!), but I've yet to get through the book I had planned to review today. It's a good one (The Summer Hideaway, by Susan Wiggs), but I've been forced to enjoy it in small doses. As soon as the decorations are down, I plan to inhale the last bit of it.
Next week, my New Year's resolutions will begin, and I'll be back on track with you all. I would share my resolutions with you, but they are way too numerous and, suffice it to say, not all that exciting (you know, all that self-improvement crap that lasts until about Valentine's Day). My main one, as always, remains the same: to fit back into the pants that fit just fine--were even a bit baggy--before the holiday season. That one I know I can do, since I do it every year...until then, sweat pants for me. Hopefully, I'll be back in my jeans by Valentine's Day!
Happy New Year and best wishes for a happy and healthy 2011!
